At Hawkes Bluff Elementary, we believe every child deserves a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Our Special Needs Program is designed for students in kindergarten through fifth grade who require individualized instruction and accommodations. We focus on fostering academic growth, social skills, and emotional well-being through evidence-based strategies and collaborative support. With dedicated teachers and specialists, we create a safe, nurturing space where every child can thrive and reach their fullest potential.

In our classroom, students learn by doing—exploring, creating, and engaging with meaningful activities that build both academic and functional skills. Whether it’s carving pumpkins, conducting simple science experiments, or participating in sensory-based projects, each activity is designed to spark curiosity and help students make real-world connections.

                           VPK Tuition Supported Program

VPK is a state-funded program administered through Broward County Public Schools.  These programs are designed to promote school readiness by supporting young children's academic growth, relationship-building skills, self-regulation, and physical development while also strengthening families.

The program prepares eligible four-year olds for kindergarten at no cost. In Broward County Public Schools, Free VPK is combined with additional Pre-K, fee-based hours to create a full school day program.  The Pre-K, fee-based option is also available for three-year-olds.
