Meet the Administrators

 

Dear HBE Family,

I am incredibly honored to be the leader of HBE!  As the leader at Hawkes Bluff Elementary, I am  only as successful as those who support me.  HBE is successful because of our superb PTA, faculty, staff, parents and students.  Each group plays an integral role in allowing us to lead HBE and making HBE such an incredible school!

I am honored to work with an outstanding PTA!  Our PTA Board and general membership consist of hardworking, positive, supportive and extremely capable members of the school community who always give willingly of their time, talent and energy whenever and wherever they are needed.  We could not have the successful school that we do without these wonderful people and all of the families who consistently support our PTA year after year.  Having had the distinct pleasure of being part of the HBE family for so many years, I have worked to develop strong bonds with the families at our school.  This has fortified the bond and relationships that move HBE beyond simply a traditional school.  These ties not only bind us at the school level, they bind our entire community. 

Our teachers and support staff are highly qualified and dedicated! They approach each day with enthusiasm and dedication and tirelessly provide a positive and productive learning environment for all of our students.  Our instructional staff and support staff is the very best the profession has to offer and we are fortunate to have each of them at HBE.

The non-instructional staff at HBE consistently demonstrates the highest degree of dedication and professionalism.  I am fortunate to have so many warm, caring, and competent people to work with and nurture our children.  Our office staff, our facilities staff, our cafeteria staff, and our paraprofessionals all improve life for our students and teachers every day.

The parents at HBE are incredibly supportive of all that we do!  Their continued support and involvement in the educational process are critical.  The home/school connection is the key to the success of our students. Their loyalty, consideration, and trust have made our partnership one of mutual respect and appreciation.

And last, but certainly not least, the most critical link to our success is our STUDENTS!  Our HAWK-TASTIC boys and girls have risen to every challenge by working hard and doing their best.  They continue to amaze us with their determination, creativity, perseverance, and promise.  Our relationship with our students and their families doesn’t end in 5th grade.  Because of the strong sense of family we have here at HBE, our students continue to return year after year to keep us abreast of their progress, accomplishments and successes.  We always take the time to relish and celebrate with them.  Nothing makes me more proud than to say, “It all started right here at Hawkes Bluff!”

My favorite part of the day is when I stand in the front breezeway and greet our students and families by name, as they enter campus each morning.  There is no greater way to start our day than with their smiling faces, hugs and quick stories.  They are the best anyone could ask for; there is no place else we would rather be!   Each morning I am  reminded of why I have the BEST JOB……I am a leader at Hawkes Bluff Elementary.
